What was suppose to be a normal 18 month check up with a new pediatrician turned into a diagnosis for Nate. We found out at after a couple of x-rays and a CT scan that Nate has a rare congenital syndrome called Klippel-Feil Syndrome. Basically he has 3 cervical vertabrae that are fused. He doesn't have any of the other problems that this syndrome comes with. Thank goodness. But the neurosurgeon is going to check up on him yearly to make sure his neck doesn't get worse--or he will be having surgery to stabilize his neck to his head. Hopefully that will never happen and it shouldn't. I geuss my children aren't perfect after all.Sunday, February 17, 2008

Oh, were you talking to me?

I can't hear you. . . . This is our new way of dealing with family arguments. Actually it's Donovan's humor. JT was having an argument with his dad and didn't want to listen to him anymore. JT asked if he could have my earplugs and I said sure. So as I was trying to put earplugs in JT's ears, Donovan left and came back with these red ear thingy's on his ears. I'm not sure what it is called. Noise reducers?? Everyone was laughing so hard and it was so funny. Nate even had to try them on.
